Give Wellness is my new nonprofit venture.
This project is inspired by all that I have learned since being diagnosed with DCIS in 2010.
The mission of Give Wellness is to give Free Wellness Workshops and Scholarships to under-served schools, individuals and groups.
HEALTHY Happy Hour Workshop:
- Participants learn tips and tricks for making easy, nutritious appetizers, non-dairy nut milks, power smoothies and healthy snacks.
- Schools, senior centers, cancer support groups and nonprofits may apply here for a FREE Workshop.
WELLNESS FOR CANCER* Scholarships
- Funds raised are given directly to people diagnosed with cancer (*or other serious life or health challenges).
Thank you to everyone who is joining me in my birthday wish to raise $5,100 to bring FREE wellness workshops and scholarships to people in need.

About Donna Pinto
I am originally from New Jersey and moved to Los Angeles with my family at age 12. After graduating from San Diego State University with a BA in Journalism, I had a short-stint in magazine advertising sales before landing my "dream job" with Club Med. For two years I worked at resorts in Mexico, The Bahamas, The Dominican Republic and Colorado. My husband Glenn & I met in Ixtapa, Mexico and we embarked on a two year honeymoon around the world. This was also a research project for a book we wrote called "When The Travel Bug Bites: Creative Ways to Earn, Save and Stay Abroad." I am also the author of a quote book for new graduates -- "Cheatnotes on Life: Lessons From The Classroom of Life." In 1997, we settled in San Diego and I was blessed to work part-time from home for non-profit organizations while raising our two boys. In 2010, a DCIS diagnosis changed my life. DCIS 411 is the culmination of my on-going journey and discoveries.

Well done! This is very inspiring. 🙂
This is awesome, you have done so much for all of us here! I donated, that’s the least I can do to help you get your message out there about DCIS, your personal journey, and educating women about their personal health. And from one Aries to another, a very Happy Birthday and many more years of health and wellness to you (and everyone!)
