DCIS 411
DCIS Support
DCIS 411 moderates several Facebook support groups where women can connect, share experiences, ask questions, and navigate DCIS together. Whether you are newly diagnosed, considering your options, actively monitoring, or questioning conventional approaches, finding a community that aligns with your needs can make a difference. You don’t have to navigate DCIS alone. Find your tribe.
In 2010, there were zero DCIS specific support groups. Breastcancer.org had a “DCIS Community Forum.”
A few years later, Facebook groups popped up.
In 2019, there were five DCIS online support groups. I wrote a blog post highlighting each one and how they differed.
Hopefully everyone can find a support tribe they most align with. Some may feel they benefit from joining more than one group.
