Your Path to Clarity & Health
DCIS 411 Mission
Our mission is to empower women with evidence-based education about Ductal Carcinoma in Situ (DCIS), increase public and professional awareness of overdiagnosis and overtreatment, and provide education about established and emerging breast imaging technologies, so every woman has the knowledge and confidence to participate in shared, informed decision-making.
DCIS 411 helps women understand current scientific evidence, evolving technologies, and balanced perspectives so they can make informed decisions about screening, diagnosis, treatment, active surveillance, prevention, and long-term health.
We are committed to making holistic wellness education accessible to all, supporting breast health and cancer prevention through education, informed choice, and personalized approaches that respect each woman’s values, goals, and circumstances.
What We Do
DCIS 411 brings together science, research, breast imaging, wellness, and support to help women better understand their options and make informed healthcare decisions.
1. Science, Research & Clinical Trials
We make complicated science easier to understand.
We follow the latest research on DCIS, including cancer biology, pathology, clinical trials, biomarkers, active surveillance, treatment approaches, and other areas of ongoing research.
We translate complex studies, medical information, and clinical research into plain language so women can understand what the evidence says, what researchers are learning, and what questions they may want to ask their healthcare providers.
2. Breast Imaging Options
Know what’s available.
Breast imaging continues to evolve, and new technologies are becoming available to women.
We provide up-to-date information about established and emerging breast imaging technologies, how they work, what they may offer, and where they are available.
We also share information about imaging centers, services, and options that women may want to explore as part of their breast health care.
3. Holistic Health & Wellness
Because your health is about more than your breasts.
We believe breast health is part of overall health and wellness.
We share resources and evidence-informed information about nutrition, movement, sleep, stress, metabolic health, environmental factors, and healthy living to help women take a more comprehensive approach to their health and well-being.
4. Support & Community
You don’t have to navigate DCIS alone.
Information is important, but sometimes you also need someone who understands.
Through our Facebook groups and peer-to-peer community, women can ask questions, share experiences, exchange resources, and connect with others navigating DCIS.
We believe women supporting women can be a powerful source of information, encouragement, and strength.
Our Goal
DCIS 411 helps women understand the science, explore their options, ask informed questions, and make healthcare decisions based on facts—not fear.

Hi Fran, you certainly have the option to decline radiation. My dear friend Sandie and co-creator of http://www.DCISRedefined.org has done extensive research on radiation for invasive breast cancer. She chose no chemo and no radiation and is seeing Dr. Keith Block, an integrative oncologist in Chicago There are some great resources to support you in NOT doing radiation. Sending you light and love and blessings for a successful surgery and easy recovery. Blessings, Donna
