We’re proud to announce the official incorporation of DCIS 411, a California nonprofit public benefit corporation, as of August 21, 2026. We received our 501(c)(3) status on September 29, 2026.

We’re inviting our community to support DCIS 411 as we get off the ground. Donations will go directly toward:

Printing and distributing educational flyers and materials
Outreach to media outlets and breast cancer advocacy organizations
Ongoing research updates shared on our website, social media platforms, and across all our community support groups

You can donate here: https://givebutter.com/DCIS411

We’re excited to begin this work and look forward to sharing more as we grow. Stay tuned for updates on our programs, resources, and ways to get involved.

Donations made on https://givebutter.com/DCIS411 are not yet tax-deductible charitable contributions.

Your donation fuels a mission grounded in research and aligned with the latest scientific understanding of Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS). DCIS 411 was created to address a growing and urgent gap in women’s health education, informed consent, safe breast screening access, and patient support.

Each year, more than 60,000 women in the US are diagnosed with DCIS. Since the widespread adoption of mammography screening, DCIS diagnoses have increased by 1,683%, while rates of aggressive treatment, including double mastectomies, have more than doubled, yet late-stage cancers and breast cancer deaths have remained stable — raising urgent concerns about overdiagnosis, overtreatment, and informed decision-making. Women facing a DCIS diagnosis are often left frightened, overwhelmed, and under-informed about their options, including the reality that their risk of invasive breast cancer may be comparable to that of the general population.

At the same time, women are rarely educated on the limitations of conventional breast screening. Standard mammography presents important concerns, including radiation exposure, painful compression, reduced sensitivity in dense breast tissue, and high false-positive rates that can lead to unnecessary biopsies, anxiety, and overtreatment. Approximately 40% of women have dense breasts, making cancer detection more difficult and increasing the likelihood of missed findings or unclear results.

Despite growing interest in safer and more personalized breast screening, many women remain unaware of or unable to access lower-risk, radiation-free options such as QT Imaging and ABUS (Automated Breast Ultrasound). These technologies offer important benefits for women with dense breasts and for those seeking long-term, safe monitoring. Cost, lack of awareness, insurance barriers, and limited provider education continue to prevent equitable access, particularly for uninsured, underinsured, and medically underserved women.

Women often come to us after feeling rushed into treatment decisions without meaningful discussion of active monitoring, overtreatment risks, individualized care, or informed screening options, making our work more urgent than ever.

We drive awareness and advocacy that empower women to make informed, confident breast health decisions. We share evidence-based resources on safer, non-toxic imaging options and connect women with integrative doctors, nutritionists, and advocates who prioritize healing, balance, and informed consent.

Join us in advancing the future of breast health that is free from fear, profit, or pressure.
