DCIS 411 Is Now an Official 501(c)(3) Nonprofit — Just in Time for Pinktober
Women Deserve Better Information About DCIS.
As Pinktober begins, DCIS 411 is taking an important next step.
Since 2011, DCIS 411 has been a hub for Ductal Carcinoma In Situ (DCIS) education, research, and resources. On August 21, 2026, DCIS 411 officially became a California nonprofit public benefit corporation and received its 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status. This milestone marks a new chapter in our commitment to education, advocacy, and informed choice. 🧡
This 501(c)(3) milestone allows DCIS 411 Nonprofit to expand its mission: empowering women with evidence-based education about DCIS, raising awareness of overdiagnosis and overtreatment, educating patients and professionals about established and emerging breast imaging technologies, and sharing research on lifestyle factors related to breast cancer risk. 🧡
We believe women deserve more than a diagnosis. They deserve accurate information, meaningful options, and a voice in decisions about their own bodies.
With your support, DCIS 411 will:
- Bring the latest research and evidence to our community.
- Develop and distribute accessible educational resources.
- Expand media outreach and advocacy partnerships.
- Keep women informed through our website, social media, and Facebook support groups.
- Build strategic alliances and pursue grants to expand our reach.
This work has always been about one thing: making sure women have access to information that supports informed, personalized decisions without fear or pressure.
Pinktober is a time to raise awareness. Let’s also raise the standard of information women receive.
Your donation helps DCIS 411 continue this work and reach more women who deserve better.
